Publisher: ISIS Audio Books
Author: Laura Lippman
Audio lenght: 9 hours and 56 min.

Every year, on 19 January, the grave of Edgar Allan Poe in Baltimore is visited by the Poe Toaster, also known as the Visitor, who leaves three red roses and a half-empty bottle of cognac. He has remained anonymous for 50 years and his visit is one of Baltimore's best-loved rituals. Then, early one January, Tess is asked to find out his identity. Tess refuses the assignment but goes to the 19 January vigil anyway. She is as surprised as the other spectators when two cloaked figures approach the grave. There is a gunshot and one is killed.

Tess quickly learns that the dead man is not the real Poe Toaster. Who is he? And why was he there? She starts to nose around and discovers it's amazing what envy can do.
