And I always felt like I wanted to go and like revive her."
Teenage Diaries producer Joe Richman gives teenagers tape records to document their lives. Amanda from Queens, New York is gay and, like many teenagers, she's struggling with her Catholic parents because she no longer agrees with everything they do or tell her. Amanda is trying to convince her parents that she going through more than a "phase." This is her story as originally heard on National Public Radio's All Things Considered.
