Carolyn Forche is a poet, translator, and editor of the 1993 anthology Against Forgetting: Twentieth Century Poetry of Witness. She has received the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award, the Lamont Award of the Academy of American Poets, the Los Angeles Times Book Award, and, most recently, her book Blue Hour was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. She teaches at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.
