This compilation represents some of the best stories from The Moth's Mainstage Series, Stories at The Moth, which is held monthly in New York City and occasionally beyond. Every Moth event is unique, each with a different theme and different storytellers. All stories are told live, no reading allowed, and the storytellers have approximately 12 minutes to tell their stories.Featured storytellers include:
Joe Jackson, a musician, singer, and songwriter who is credited with bringing New Wave music to America. He is also the author of the book A Cure for Gravity.
Dan Kennedy, a columnist at McSweeney's and author of the critically acclaimed Loser Goes First and the anticipated follow-up Rock On.
Lewis Lapham, the national correspondent for Harper's Magazine, for which he writes the award-winning "Notebook" column. In addition, he is the author of 11 books.
Robert Ooghe, a web designer by trade, a free-spirited bookworm, and an occasionally gifted ping-pong player. Even-tempered but often too curious, Robert is fond of cherries, absinthe, and nautical engineering. He is a hedgehog enthusiast, and enjoys probing discussions on the works of Joss Whedon.
